Printing

To print a form that is currently on the screen, you must exit the form and then select it from the list of forms and schedules. An individual form can be printed via the drop down menu (see below). 2 Dimensional Bar Codes for all selected forms are created and printed when Schedule 200 is printed. Schedule 150 allows you the option to print the page of the schedule you are on. Click on the page you want to print then click on Print page from the tool bar

Printing 2 Dimensional Bar Codes

(Mandatory Requirement from CRA)

Effective in 2009 it is mandatory that all filings submitted to Revenue Canada include all completed Federal, Harmonized, Capital Tax and GIFI (if applicable) schedules in the 2 Dimensional Bar Code print out. The print out is automatically created when the Federal Schedule 200 is printed

  • Effective for all returns it is mandatory that 2 Dimensional Bar Code printouts be submitted to Revenue Canada. Revenue Canada will reject any returns that do not include the Bar Code printout.
  • 2 Dimensional bar codes are automatically created when Schedule 200 is printed.
  • Prior to printing you must select all applicable schedules in the Federal, Harmonized, Capital Tax and GIFI (if applicable) tabs.
  • Selections are made using the space bar or by clicking on Include in List from the Printing/Barcode drop down menu.
  • Prior to creating bar codes Insuretax will perform a diagnostic test to check for schedules that have been completed but not selected, and for schedules that have been selected but not completed.
  • You will have to correct all diagnostic errors before 2 dimensional bar codes can be printed.

Printing Individual Forms;

  • Using the space bar or Printing/Barcode button select Schedule(s) to be printed. To remove selection click space bar or Remove from list in the Printing/Barcode drop down list.
  • When Schedules are selected for printing you will see a green check mark in the incl. in return column.
  • Highlight schedule/form to be printed from the forms list
  • Click the Print Button or,
  • Click on File in the drop-down menu; click on Print for faster access choose (F5)
  • The individual form or schedule will be printed.
  • Only selected schedules can be printed

Printing Tab (Prn Tab button) allows all Selected forms/schedules in the active tab to be printed.

  • Select tab you wish to print.
  • Using the space bar or Printing/Barcode button select Schedule(s) to be printed. To remove selection click space bar or Remove from list in the Printing/Barcode drop down list.
  • When Schedules are selected for printing you will see a green check mark in the incl. in return column
  • Click the Prn Tab button or,
  • Click on File in the drop-down menu
  • Click on Print Cur Tab for faster access choose (F7)
  • All selected forms in the entire tab will be printed.

The need to change print formats is not necessary, all forms will be printed in a laser format. The program indicates the number of legal and letter sheets to be printed when Print Cur Tab/Print has been selected.

Changing Printers

There are two ways to change or select which printer to be used. When you are at the forms list of any tab, click on File, then from the drop down menu select Set up Printer, select the printer you want to use then Click OK. Alternately you can also switch default printers and Insuretax will print from the Windows default printer. To change the default printer go to Start-Settings-Printers right click on the printer you wish to use, select use as default printer. Insuretax will now pick up the new settings and print appropriately. Depending on your set up you may have to close Insuretax then execute Insuretax again before the change takes affect.
